    I had the LM2 with the SLP Y-pipe with stock manifolds and I loved how that sounded. I cannot attest to the sound of the LM1 though.

    No the SLP y pipe wouldn't change the sound much. Leave the Y pipe alone unless you're getting a header/y pipe combo. For stock manifolds and cats I like the LM1. The Magniflow, GMMG, and most of the others are just too quiet with the manifolds and cats, for me anyway.

    The difference as far as price is that the slp system is made of stainless steel but not the shiny kind. The summit system is made of aluminum. I would assume it is the same with hooker system. So what you are really paying for is longevity.
