which cat-back to get?
hey, I have been looking into getting some cat-back exhaust. I was told SLP is very loud and annoying. I want something that is going to be pretty loud but no to the point where its annoying to drive. What about SLP LM II or Magnaflow? Any other brands i should check out. and does anyone have sound clips? I plan to do OFY and LTs in the feature.

I got a magnaflow a few months ago...after a really long time deciding which I wanted. I couldn't be happier. The car has a nice tone to it at low RPM's although quiet but really comes alive when you shoot the RPM's up. Either way it's not too loud but not stock-ishly quiet. That's all I have done to the car. It was a great buy for me since I couldn't spend too too much money and really disliked the LM.

Light Pewter Metallic- 2001 Camaro SS
Loud Mouth
Get the SLP Loud Mouth 1. I drove around with it for years and it is great. I have the Loud Mouth 2 now, but it is not quite as earth shattering.

i'll get flammed, but i have a 40 series flowmaster, and i love the sound
most of the crap you hear about flowmaster is about the 80 series
you also dont need to buy a catback, u can just get the muffler, i believe the intermediate pipe on SS's and WS6's is stainless and 3 in anyways, no use getting rid of it

I vote for the loudmouth. One of the cheapest stainless steel systems you can get. Great quality too.

I think the SLP with LTs and OFY is just to loud and with it being my DD it would just get annoying. I can't really tell how the SLP II compairs to the magnaflow. any comments on that? How much does the GMMG cost?

The GMMG was pretty expensive when I last looked (don't remember how much though, sorry) which was the only reason I didn't go with that one, it really does sound great and would be my top choice. Did you try LS1sounds.com at all? Not sure if someone mentioned this already but it helped me out a bit when I was looking since on some videos people's exhausts aren't always true to sound for some reason, I'm not tech person though. If you have the money definitely go with the GMMG, if not the magnaflow is a great pick too.

GMMG is like $800, so its up there with the borla and corsa systems. Magnaflow and loudmouth are the only systems that I can think of that are under $500 and are stainless steel, like the more expensive systems.
