Carb cleaner - old remedy still works?

Dad pulled MAF and sprayed into intake/butterfly and cleaned up my sisters 4 cyl car. Car idles better and starts easier. He says it'll do the same thing to our cars and is a great maintenance idea.

Seems logical enough, anybody do this with their LS1?

Sure....lots of folks have KN filters that over oil them and eventually the oil gets on the lil MAF wires...we use brake cleaner or electrical cleaner.....
