Car chemistry exhaust pipe muffler inserts, good, bad...?

I thinking of going with two of their 2 disc insert, right after the headers to mainly get ride of some 1000-1500rpm drone and possibly quiet it down some. Will using these inserts cause enough restriction to noticeably hurt me in HP/TQ ?
Anyway I'd like to hear your opinion, especially if you've used them before.

I'm not familiar with the Car Chemistry disc inserts, as a matter of fact I've never heard of them.

I have however used what is a cone shaped baffle inside header collectors to muffle some of the noise. I don't believe those caused any sort of restriction that was enough to measure per say, but that is probably a totally different design than what you are looking at here.

An interesting side note.....SLP used a cone baffle at the end of their I-pipe on the factory installed optional Dual/Dual exhaust systems that came on SS's and Firehawks. When they were first introduced they were too loud for the noise police so SLP's solution was to install a cone baffle right in front of the muffler inlet.

I think you mean the Dynatech Vortex insert cones.
    These?

Yep something like that. They are probably made by several manufactures now. I don't really remember what brand I had. It's been a while.

That's going to cause a restriction.
