Don't have the new 6.2L, but I have done the LQ9 swap into my SS. Used the short block and bought Texas Speed LS6 CNC ported heads and their Torquer V. 2 cam with it. Made 452RWHP. Makes more low end power too. Got my car for sale in the vehicles for sale section.

hey man, I put forced a big block down into a nissan pickup... with alittle work you can make anything fit. GM to GM swap should be alot easier than what I did lol

Could I use the escalade heads or would I have to get LS heads so all my asessories will bolt up? Im assuming I would need a LS6 intake, right? What about a stock Camaro wire harness, will that all match up? Thanks in advanced!

04 should come stock with the ls6 intake. look at the top/front, right behind the throttle body, if there is no egr tube going into the intake its an ls6. all the heads should have the same accesory holes in it.

Mine was out of an '03, but I believe it's all the same. I used my camaro harness that was already in the car because everything plugs up the same. The only thing you have to do is drill and tap a hole in the block for the power steering bracket, there is a write up somewhere for it. Very easy swap, just have to get custom tune. I also got larger 36lb injectors.

Did you use Camaro assesories or the one's from the Escalade motor? Cause don't the Escalades have the altenator on the top of the motor?

I am not positive on it but, I think all of the lsx heads have the same accessory bolt holes in them wether its a 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, 6.2 or any others.... that is one of the things i love about GM

RED 35TH ANIVERSARY PKG- 2002 CAMARO SS 35th LE
One thing I would like to point out is if its the 6.2L then its prob. the LS-3 block with means it has LQ9 heads on it.. And the LS6 intake will not bolt up directly to it. So you would have to get an LS3 intake for it to work. Correct me if i'm wrong.. The reason being is they have different intake ports where the heads meets with the intake.
