Red- 2001 Camaro SS
i've got an SLP lid AND an SLP CAI.
they are both different. The lid is just that, an airbox lid. The CAI is UNDER the airfilter, which is under the lid. In theory the CAI forces more air into the airbox, which then pushes more cold air/oxygen into the engine to create more power.
Can you feel it? Not really. Is it working? Probably.....but remember, it all adds up, and all mods build onto one another.
Sorry for the long rant, lol.

My vote goes to Volant, hands down, other than some ppl will have a few fitment problems, The concept behind it is spot on

if you got a tuner near you i dont see any reason that they wouldnt be able to set your car up for a speed density(SD) tune. SD is a mafless set up. bolt ons shouldnt e hard to deal with. and internal mods will just take more time, but still shouldnt be too hard to deal with if the tuner knows what he is doing.

i see where you are going with this but you may also want to check into and amsoil filter for your car. I believe the only have the flat filter element for our cars so if your looking for a completely new set up then i would go with the k&n or volant

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
I see the volant being beneficial with an SS or WS6
I've got an SLP Blackwing Lid and an SLP cold air
Like Sommer said above, not noticable, but its probably working
I'm not the biggest fan of the K&N CAI, doesn't seem as practical and looks like it would get dirty quick
