    A/C problem, need help.

Not sure were to put this, so ill drop it here for now.
OK im having a problem with my A/C. it blows cold air but the selector wont change it from vent to floor and what not. i know some of the older vehicles worked off vacum. is my car that way or is it electronic? the reason i ask about the vacum is because it started soon after i took my intake off to change out knock sensors. just wondering if i have a line off or if its deeper than that. i dont have a clue were to start.

You're on the right track - check the vacuum lines from behind the intake then back towards the passenger side near the firewall. If you have a leak the default setting is blowing out the floor/defrost vents only.

I had the same problem and some one on her was generous to help me so I will pass it on. Look under hood pass side back of engine compartment by the pcm and you will see three vaccum lines going into a tee (some kind of check valve) I used one I had laying around from a blazer. Inspect it for cracks if you cant see any then clean it and plug two ends and see if it leaks when you blow into the third end. Try this and if that is it I think you can get it at the dealership.

thanks for the info. I found the problem. the other end of the line you are talking about going into the back of the intake was off. pluged it back in and the problem was fixed. glad it wasnt anything big.
