    Unhappy Borla exhaust help

Installed my Borla Cat-Back last week but ran into a snag on my 02 T/A with the passenger tail pipe hanger. The exhaust comes with a flat square plate welded on with an oval shaped hole in it and lines up with the rubber hanger under the car. BUT there is nothing on the car (like a stud) that fits in the plate. I called Borla and spoke with a guy there who indicated that I may have removed the piece that goes into this flat plate. I dont remember but I think the holder was welded to and part of the old exhaust that was discarded. I think the new exhaust should have came with something other than this flat plate. He said to bring it to a muffler shop to fashion something. That doesn't make me too happy but I have a stainless hose bracket holding it right now! I checked Advance Auto but could find no universal connector - see the pic attached to know what I mean. Anyone run into this situation?

    thanks

There is suppose to be a metal hanger attached to the car iirc.

Maybe, but if you look at the pic, I think (already discarded the old one) there was a hanger on the old tailpipe itself that was attached to it and not a hanger from the car.

Go to an auto parts store and look for the type you need. They should have it. Then just remove the old one.

Could get this and put a bolt and nut through it. You could also cut extra material off.

This is what I received from Borla:
    Hi Joe,

What you are missing is the Factory bracket that bolts to the flat plate, it is a 90deg. Bent metal with a half-moon in the top half and strait down with a bolt through it and it goes to the flat plate. We did not supply this part as it is part of the original system. You might try NPD- National Parts Depot to get this part or make one. This is the best I have for you as I have installed many of these systems. Hope this helps.

    Thanks Again,
