    Bolt on duals?

Where can I get a set of mandrel (or mandrell, I've seen it spelled both ways) bent bolt on duals? Has anyone ordered or used these before? All of our local exhaust shops bend the pipes the old way, reducing internal pipe size.

I dont think they make a kit for duals out the rear but you can pick up a set of duals that dump befor the axle as a kit.
Check out one of our sponsers.

Do the side exits resonate loudly in the interior?

Most of them just dump straight under the the car like under the back seatish. From the ones i have heard from the outside they sound great but when your goin down the free way the drone is pretty bad. But i allways say the louder the better so it depends on what your looking for.
Cutout might also be an option for ya.
might find some clips on Ls1sounds.com

Bassani makes TD out all the way to the back. Stainless or aluminized.

Vinci sells them and LPE? OR LME? I have bassani. It is bolt on from our exhaust manifold all the way to the back of the car. This TD sounds awesome w/ longtubes.

Nice. If I ever change my exhaust, Bassani TD is definitely the way to go

I found these Bassani pics http://www.ls1sounds.com/pics_tips.htm#Bassani
and these Bassani sound clips http://www.ls1sounds.com/bassani.htm . The sound clips all say stock header. Did you use aftermarket headers with them, or the stock manifolds? If you used aftermarket headers, did you have to modify the Bassanis?

Not much modification... Any muffler shop should able to do it. What my muffler shop did was cut the original flange that bolts to the exhaust manifold and weld a new one and extend/cut some pipe to mate it w/ the longtubes. If you don't want to use the flange, you can cut it off and do a band clamp connection to the longtubes.

Here are some pictures. The first one the guy at the muffler shop tried to do the band clamps but it didn't quite sealed and leaked.

Second picture, the pipe came up short to my longtubes so he extended it w/ another stainless pipe, welded flanges and voila.

Sounds good. So I assume since you had both sound clips, that you did the duals first then added headers later? Did you notice a significant power gain with each?

The muffler shop welded flanges on longtubes and TDs.

Yeah, did the duals first, woke the car up and the longtubes a few months later. It gave it more the duals more character (more umph down low all the way to the top). And yes it hauls ass.

You thought the headers/TDs sounded good? That was with misfires (3 cracked plugs) It sounds waaaay better now.

I spoke to my exhaust guy today. $140 to run 2.5" true duals, with me providing the mufflers. He said he can't take them over the axle though, because he couldn't guarantee them not hitting anything. So for $290 ($140 pipes/labor + $150 Flowmaster Deltas) I can have true duals under the axle. I guess they'd have better flow under axle. Anyway, that's less than a catback system and he said there's plenty of ground clearance. Opinions?
