    Best setup?

Well here is the question, I have slp loudmouth exhaust, and want to get some headers. But I hear that slp with headers sounds way to raspy! So here is my question I want to get an exhaust that sounds great with headers and this where you guys come in. What exhaust sounds best with headers? What kind of headers? Also keep in mind that I live in California! Damn SMOG, so it has to be able to pass smog. Thanks, Chris

I also have the SLP Loudmouth 1, and asked about the raspyness it has with headers when I had it put on. The guy said it is a little raspy but if u just add a Loudmouth 2 resonator with the headers it would sound good. Although I dont have the resonator or the headers so I dont know for sure.

Loudmouths with headers and cats are not raspy, One thing for you to think about is since you live in Cali. where you'll probably have to run cats you shouldn't have a problem.

the only way you will pass the cali sniffer test is with shorty headers.
get whichever brand you like best.
because the headers will have the cats, the loudmouth shouldnt be too bad at all.
you can always switch it afterwards

From what I hear if you dont wanna buy a new exhaust since you already have LMs, you can either put a 1 chamber flowmaster or a borla xr1 muffler in place of the LM resonator. The flowmaster is known as a 10 series race muffler and would help the rasp, while still giving exellent flow.
