dont know much about these newer headers but back in the day 99-00 I put mack mid lengths with off road y pipe on my 99 ta with a hypercrap and ls1 motorsports lid and they really made a noticeable difference. I am thinking about the bbk,s for my 99 maro now. I have had several sets on my mustamgs in the past years and never had any complaints to speak of....

Prossess tubing is also called sanitary tubing. Is is made frome 316 Stainless steel, usually schedule 5, thats = about 1/16 thick = to 16g. It is uses in food pressesing plants gas plants ect. Its called sanitary tube because it comes from the manufacturer with an electro polished finish on it. It forms really good in a Mandrel pipe bender and is stronger than 304SS. If fabricated properly there is no filler rod used when TIG welding. Fuse welding with a 20psi purge of Argon results in a beautiful almost invisable weld with unbeatable strength. I have built plenty of exhaust sysyems with it (Gas, Inert gas, Ect). Unlike most exhaust pipe that has a welded seam from forming out of a flat sheet or plate, Prosses tube is Extruded and has a seamless free flowing design and is alot more easy to polish. Better to use because just like heads the inside is polished and air can glide with significantly less energy which in this application probably means mor HP

Go for QTP stainless steel longtubes. They are built with quality and you will love them.

Ya theyre about $750 for the headers no y pipe. If you can make your own I'd give it a shot what have ya got to lose? And who knows they may come out really nice and cutom fit to your car since no two cars are exactly the same for fitment.

lovedrvr....i just went to order the BBK LT/Y setup and the website says the Y pipe is 2.5"...can you shed some light on this? and are you 100% sure the y pipe on ur system is 3"?

I have the system and the y pipe is 2.5". I dont really see this as a big deal because if all 8 cylinders eventually feed into a 3 inch pipe does it really make a diff if 4 of them feed into a 2.5 inch? the y merge is still 3 inch though.

Stay with a 3 inch y pipe, except if you have stock manifolds

Yea, the merge is 3". From the collector to the end of the y is 2.5". Not really that big of a deal. Works out good for me because I have no muffler. Gives me a little backpressure. Performance wise, I wouldn't sweat it.

back pressure is NEVER good... that's an internet/urban legend that just won't die.

I'm not much of a BBK fan because of their Y. If I had to pick between the Hooker and BBK, I would go Hooker and ORY every time.

alright guys, so i ordered the BBK LT & Y...and now i'm worried. I live in Ontario and the car MUST pass e-test and i'm not sure if the BBK's have the spot for the EGR valve. Can someone with BBKs tell me if there is, and if not, what did you do!?

unless you ordered race style headers they should almost for sure come with the EGR/AIR ports I wouldnt worry about it. But if they dont a exhaust shop could fab them up pretty easy.

If you got the long tube, y pipe kit they have no air egr fittings.
Now they do make Shorty headers with them but not the LT kit.
U live in KY and they dont do emissions here.
And the y being 2 1/2 is not a big deal all headers will dyno within 1-3 HP never tell the different .
All I know is the fitment was perfect, they look fantastic (I like the blue tint by the heads)and the price can't be beat
