jay, what basham said is right on, with only a resonator there is going to be rasp like i described to you in my Pm. Mrkid has headers, ory, lm2 resonator and mufflers. if you check out his build thread, the patient is ready, he has sound clips i believe of before and after the addition on the mufflers to his system. I like the loudness of my system and can deal with the rasp. But if rasp is what your looking to eliminate i would look at his set up.

If you dont want rasp. Go with a catted y pipe or hi flow cats at the very least. Then get a custom catbacl with 2 magnalow muffers on each side.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think im going with the BBK combo from summit. if the rasp is very annoying then I can get me 2 hi flow cats from ebay and have a local muffler shop weld them or maybe put them on with band clamps at least on one end.

I don't want to get rid of the borla at the moment. I kinda like the fact that I can adjust the way it sounds. Plus it will be more money. I'm waiting to finish my HIDs(whenever they get here...) and I start to save money for the headers. I have to get new o2 sensors as well and send the PCM to frost for update. So easily about $500 bucks if I don't need cats.

Since you have the Borla already (I have it too) just close it up with the solid plate. No rasp. Put an E cutout like a DMH in the I pipe under the seat for when you want all hell to break loose. This is how I have mine and love it.

thanks Bill. so if I even reduce the size of the plate lets say to like a 1" hole does it still get rasp? Also how loud does it get with the plate closed compared to stock manifolds? any chance you can do a sound clip or video? thanks.

Been so long since I ran the small hole plate I can't really remember, would be much less to non existant. As for fully closed with my LTs and ory, I liken that to a catback car with stock manifolds/cats.

Click the link. You can see where the plates go on the passenger side and how it works. http://www.borla.com/media/prod_images/xlarge/14780.jpg

Custom Y takes my vote over anything, it'll cost around the same as a kit ORY but it'll tuck up much better. Whatever you do stay away from TSP ORY, I don't know one person who hasnt had a problem with it. But I say KOOKS LT's if you have the money. Wish I wouldve spent the extra money for them....

I 100% agree with blackbird with the addition of add cutouts and stay away from kooks/pacesetter ory. But its ur money and your taste and BBK has made the few ppl ive talked to happy. Not the most popular choice but i havent heard any complainys
