hey guys im stuck and need a opinion. I want to get a cat back exhaust for my car but cant choose which one i want. Im looking for something with a strong beefy tone but not raspy or poppy. Im also running lt's and a ory. I tried ls1 sounds but its just not the same as in person. so what do u guys think. corsa, borla, slp powerflo, i dont know. magnaflow seems too quiet. what do u guys think

I have the flowmaster 80 series and is a bit to raspy for me personally, currently looking at swapping it out for the GMMG system. Its a bit on the pricey side, but all the f-bodies I've heard the GMMG on sound insane and not nearly as raspy, especially on the top end.

My Magnaflow system with stock manifolds, cats and Y was fairly tame at idle, but definitely had a deeper tone. It came to life though once you cracked the throttle and sounded way better than stock. I have yet to fire it off with the new headers and catted-Y to see what the difference is.

I am in the same situation as I am looking for the right exhaust system for my Maro. I had Flowmasters before I got into a car accident, and I loved the sound of them. When I rebuilded my Maro I put on a Borla Pro Xs, which I recently cut off because it was too quiet for me. I am currently deciding between a Super 40 Flowmasteror a true dual Flowmaster exhaust system. I heard Flowmasters are not good on performance, but I guess it's all personal preference. I am still trying to research other exhaust systems like Magnaflow. Hope you find the right one.

ok guys I just checked out gmmg's website and they had some videos and a commercial for their chambered exhaust system and im sold. i love it. it is exactly the sound im looking for. i never looked into them before because for some reason i always thought their system was simialar to slp's loudmouth system, come to find out it is nothing like it. thanks guys. the money is well worth it!

yes GMMG is selling their system. I think it is well worth the money just as kook's headers would be. You will be happy with your GMMG. post up some vids once you get it installed. Have fun

Just as a heads up....
A friend had QTP longtubes and y-pipe, along with the the GMMG. It was too raspy for his tastes.
Since changed to a true dual (magnaflows) set-up.

Hooker all the way here. I had flomasters on my other car with mac mids and ory and it was loud as hell and verry raspy. I have hooker lt's, TSP ory, and hooker muffler. Its loud when needed but crusing down the interstate at 70-80 you can barely hear it. It almost has no rasp period but has verry little between 2500 and 3000 at light throttle. I have no way of posting vids or Id do so. I wish someone on this board could post a vid and lived in memphis, tn I work there and would meet them to post a vid of my exhaust.

I have borla and love it you can adjust the sound (backpressure) with plates or make your own sound by drilling holes in the blank plate. I have also heard gmmg and it dose sound very sexxy cant go wrong either way
