Best Bolt On Performanc Ideas
Hey guys. I have not had an LS1 since I sold my 1999 SS Camaro. At the time I had an aftermarket exhaust, a high flow air box and I port and polished the MAF. That was about all there was at the time. I was wondering what you guys think is the most bang for the buck in exhaust ideas (including ceramic headers) intake and maf ideas, and just generally the best way to get that bolt on performance without having the crack open the engine. I am not fond of putting super unleaded gas in my car to prevent premature detonation so no need to discuss anything that will cause that. Suspension upgrades that are reasonable will also be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time. I am really excited that I am getting a second chance to this all over again.

Best bang for the buck mod if your a 6speed is 4.10's, then after that would be LT's, ORY, exhuast intake and tune. Its really preference which you would rather do first and whats more important to you. I was going to do headers but opted not to due to having tremendous bad luck with them in the past. Either way GL

black- 2000 nhra edition formula
if you have an automatic transmission car, the absolute best mod for that is a stall converter hands down.
you can easily shave .5 seconds and more from your e.t2000 nhra edition formula

Any thoughts on hard top vs t top vs convertible? I have my choice right now in my price range and I am trying to make up my mind.

T-top or convertible for sure. What colors? Something like a Sunset Orange Metallic convertible would be a VERY rare car and I'd definitely get it over any other.

you can turn a hardtop into a t-top so the rigidity isn't that much more nor weight difference, subframe connectors will make up the difference.

you should also be running hi-octane gas in it regardless of mods. That's recommended from the factory.

Whoa, I never heard that before. Huh, I never had to use it with my 99 LS1. In fact thats the reason I never chipped the car. Well my color choices are white in a T top with 7K miles Trans Am. Blue in a Camaro SS convertible with 10K miles and black in a ram air Trans Am hardtop with 9k miles on it. All for around 16K. I am chomping at the bit. Oh well thats going to be my birthday and christmas present. Maybe when I get home the paint shop will have my latest project finished too. Damn good christmas present.

A Trans Am WS6 hardtop is a pretty rare car...I'd say buy whatever you like more...
