Battle of the exhaust
SLP Loudmouth....or.....a Borla.....which do u think is better? Im leaning more towards the loudmouth myself, love the way it sounds plus its a little easier on the wallet.

What do you mean by "better"? IMO, exhaust is mostly preference.

SLP loudmouth is a nicer sounding system IMHO.

As stated, exhaust is a matter of opinion. I personally like Borla, but I'm a bit biased. Pick whatever you like, as you're the one who has to live with it.

Its true to a point that exhaust is a matter of preference, but there is a fine line. I mean there are certain brands u get more hp from, but u are right Knight i do have live with it. At least until i save up enough to replace it.

Unless you are running true duals, there really isn't much HP difference to be seen between different aftermarket exhaust systems...IMO
If you plan on keeping your stock manifolds, LM sounds great. If you plan on getting long tube headers to replace the stock manifolds at some point, I would suggest something like a Magnaflow instead.

Yeah i don't plan on make to many major mods, its a daily drive so i don't wanna kill the already ok gas mileage. I probably will keep the stock manifolds on it, but who knows in the future.

Headers are a pretty good mod. Makes the car sound mean and adds some nice HP gains at the same time. It's usually the first mod or close to that a lot of the f-body guys do (sub-frame connectors, lid, headers/exhaust).
Here is a sticky on headers and exhaust you might be interested in. Some pretty good information in there.

It also depends on what the car is intended for. In my experience, for a daily driver, you'll want something with a nice rumble but no drone on the highway. It took me all of 10 minutes of the hour and a half drive home with my car to realize I hated slp loudmouth. I actually had a pretty big headache when I got home. I've daily driven stock manifolds with flowmaster and also with magnaflow. Both sounded great. The flowmaster had a better low end rumble. My daily now has LTs, no cats, and Magnaflow. Sounds great; loud enough, no drone.

I use it as a daily driver myself, and plannig on keeping it most stock. What would you suggest for my situation?

Had the SLP for a few months. Sounded cool the first few times I drove it. Rasp and drone got old quick. This was on a weekend car. Went to a Corsa.

Are you talking about the Loudmouth I or II xssv?
I really didn't experience any rasp at all with the LMII with my stock manifolds. I did however have some along with drone at around 2200-2500RPM when I got my Kook's 1-7/8" headers and 3" Kook's ORY with the LMII.

Everything on my engine is stock except for my cold air intake (K&N), i really don't plan on doing to much to the engine. Maybe place the rocker arms stuff like that. I have viewed alot clips on you tube between the borla and loudmouth IMO i like the loudmouth. But last thing i want is to buy this and then hate it a month later. I will have to check out the magnaflow, i wish i knew someone around me that had this kinda setup.

Best to hear it in real life if you can. Listening to sounds on a computer to try to base your decision off of is about as helpful as a a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest.
