bad engine ping after mod install
My 2000 WS6 was stock till today. I put an SLP lid on and a superchips and a ported MAF. Now when it gets to about 4k rpms it pings like hell. Do ya think the MAF is doing it? I have a ported MAF and a superchips on my C5 and don't have any problems at all.

Could be the maf leaning out your car so its "pinging". Although i would look into that chip you have got in there first. Heard a few probs with those lately.
J2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....

If you have the stock maf swap that back in and see if that fixes your problem. Or take out the chip see if that fixes it.

take out both. maf and chip. useless IMO. sell them on e-bay and buy real mods.
