    Question Anyone Using These Headers?

I have a friend that wants to sell me some headers he found on eBay and got dirt cheap. I am running completely stock at this point and have been looking to buy some. The headers he is trying to sell me are 2254-1HKR Hooker Headers and they are Brand New in the box and come with all the gaskets, O2 extensions, bolts, etc. I have looked at them and found that they are about $700 and he is willing to sell to me for $300. I'm wanting to pick up the SLP Loudmouth II Catback with Y-pipe and want to make sure this will match up. Anyone got any suggestions?

He just bought them because they were cheap and he knew he could sell them for more. He's a big fan of eBay where he can buy something cheap and sell it around here for more. What would you suggest for the rest of the exhaust?

Magnaflow or hooker aerochamber catback. Here is a vid of the hooker catback

You can also go here http://ls1sounds.com/ to get a good idea of what you want.
I imagine they are but are the Hooker headers you buying ceramic coated? Also you can hook up the headers and y-pipe to the stock catback and put a cutout in, save yourself roughly 500 bucks and you can have it quite when you want it or loud at your own command. Use the extra cash on nitrous or a cam set-up. Thinking back I wish I would have went that route instead of getting my duals.

The headers are ceramic coated. So let me get this right...You think I should buy the headers, a cut out, y-pipe and the magnaflow catback system? I'm kinda new to all this.

The cut out is optional but they are fun. The catback you chose is just personal preference, check out ls1 sounds. Buy the headers, and an ORY.

Is ORY "off road y-pipe"? I'm guessing that means it doesn't have O2 Sensor's either?

yeah off road y-does not come with with cats if you plan to stay legal then you'll have to buy them. Remember if you stick with the stock cat-back you'll have money for a cam.

Do ORY's have 02 sensors or is it just that they don't have cats?

So let me get this right, I'm a little confused. If I do Pacesetter headers and a Y-pipe then I will be able to get some 02 extensions and still be able to use them or do I have to get the 02 sims?

A little advice...dont listen to anything C5Z28 tells you he is a retard man...I am new to getting online and talking to people about cars on forums also, and that guy will go against anything you say, or he wont make sense...you wanted the loudmouth, get the loudmouth a LOT of people like them....they sound really good, its the loudest if you want that, but the hooker and magnaflow sound a lot more mellow and hooker sounds really good under hard throttle....and him saying not to get the catback so you can get a cam, just tell him to shut up, because a cam alone is $300-$400 along with aftermarket valve springs and pushrods are another couple hundred, then you will need it tuned another $200....he's just a dumbass....you will find the people on here that give you good info and the ones that dont.......

I got the loudmouth I, and if I had the choice again I would save a little more and go with something else. I'm planning on switching out the resonator most likely with a borla bullet muffler (borlamouth)
