    Anyone using a BBK intake?

    I saw this on ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BBK-8...spagenameZWDVW

forget the price, i want to know if the worth a crap, and will it be a good match for a future H/C upgrade..

    Any feedback would be great!

I can get you the Professional Products 85mm Inatke and T/B for less than that for sure.

I have one on my car and it is a very nice piece.

PM me if you are interested

how is the quality of the professional product ls1 intake? professional products is a common budget name in the 5.0 world and they basically sell cheaply chinese casted parts that have lots of flash in them. poor machining

only thing I have heard about the BBK intake is that it tends to get heatsoaked. why bother with the 85 BBK, why not the FAST 90/90.

I hear you. only bad thing about price though is that term "you pay for what you get". Doesn''t always apply, but so far with my experiences, it has made a HUGE difference.

i would put the money towards the fast90/90 and i beleive you would be much farther ahead than if you bought the bbk.

Hey bud refer to the october 2007 issue of Hot Rod magizine they go over this, The bbk gets very heat soaked and robbs hp. The LS6 intake was actually better and youcan find those on ebay. Plus it states that the only diffrence between fast 90/90 and LS6 intake is 11.2 hp. Then after you get the LS6 intake go to summit and buy the 85mm street and strip intake and you probabley will make up some of that 11.2hp diffrence. And the best part is it is all cheaper than the bbk intake and throttle body on ebay. Summits throttle body is $183 and ebay LS6 is like $250. I wouldnt risk the heat soak.

Was the motor in the comparison stock or modified? I will agree that the LS6 is better than the BBK - but the fast 90/90 is the way to go with a H/C setup. You will probably gain 15hp with the fast over the LS6 and even more if you get the fast ported. SSwt00SS can tell you about the great gains he got from his fast 90 on his cammed SS.
