I bought mine last fall and had the EGR tubes cut off, welded shut and polished over, you would never know that they use to be there. I've seen the EGR tubes come off on other brand of headers. They are now offered with out them. They do tuck up high on the drivers side. I use TSP off road Y pipe. I had to reangle the drivers side of the Y. I havn't had any other problems since install. They are made of 321 stainless which is what aircraft exhaust is made of as it will withstand a higher temp. I would buy them again. For the price, quality and material I don't think I went wrong buying these. I've heard people call these cheap and you get what you pay for, but the same thing was said about pacesetters when they came out. And IMO pacesetters are still cheap. I've know two people personally that went with pacesetters and cuss the day they installed them, floor board banging and rusting out. Now they cuss me because of my headers.
I was up under my car last weekend and while under there I was checking everything out and no problem with the exhaust. I put them on last Sep. No signs of banging or scrapeing. Good headers.

well the retarded middlemen who sell it on ls1tech mustve harrassed the manufacturer because they increased the price on the website in the first post from $475 to $575. but they still sell them on ebay. type in "camaro headers". the name is discountzoomparts. you can buy through ebay for like $490 shipped or do what i did and use the "contact seller" button and ask them how much it would be to do the deal outside of ebay. they sent them to me for $475 shipped via paypal.

ps. i'm beginning to really hate ls1tech because of the nazi mods there. they edit/delete posts for no reason. this board is much looser and generally has a happier attitude. over there i'm like afraid to post anything like i would above because i know they'll delete it and/or ban me. it's like fucking auschwitz or something.

yeah i've read a ton of posts about the y clearance on tech and it seems like hit or miss. some people have had no issues whatsoever while others have. but i've also seen the same for other brands of y pipes, like pacecetter, jet hot, etc. the one thing i do know is that the xs y pipe has a crappy merge. i've got it myself and plan on drill-sanding it down before i install it to increase the air flow. but hey, a stainless y pipe and stainless headers for $475 shipped is a helluva deal to me. pacecetters kit costs more and is non-stainless.

Yeah I think I will give it a shot. I mean even if the Y pipe doesnt fit i can get it modified to fit for les then the price of a more expensive set of SS headers.
