    anybody running this magnaflow universal y pipe?

    Hey was wondering if this universal y pipe was catted? anybody running this? are there small perforations on the inside like a resonator? or is it just straight through?

    That is just a transition/joint pipe from two pipes to the singe Intermediate pipe. This is not a full y pipe - you would still need to make/fab pipes to the headers/cats to use this...

    Unless you are making a full custom exhaust, pre-fabricated y-pipes are much easier.

    ^^^ yea man I'm making a custom Y pipe, just wanted to know if anybody was running this transition pipe, I was wonderin if it was straight through? or was it catted? Im looking for one that is stragiht through no cats.

    Cats dont attatch right to the merge. A cat alone would be bigger than that merge/transition pipe. So no there are no cats on that piece.

    i had it on my custom exhaust for my twin turbo stealth, it is essentially 2 pieces of stamped steel welded together.

    I would use the Flowmaster merge collector instead. It supposedly merges better. Kinda apparent if you look at em.

    ^^^ yea i actually just found the flowmaster one off of summitracing.com so im going with the flowmaster one.

    where did you get yours from? and how much was it?

    My exhaust is stock right now except the STS turbo. I'm sell it and go with some ARH LT's and the Bassani stainless true dual setup, so no Y for me.
