I LOVED that. No idea how badass it was to be able to lay down over 500 at the wheels (more if you have boost/nitrous) but sound like a car with bolt-on's. I had people mess with me all the time just rolling along.

If need be....opening the cutouts took 3 seconds...

    wow great vids.. man thanks...

it sounds great i love the way it sounds,, ill be getting dual e/cutouts as well..
i was looking at the bassani setup but im not paying $1200 for it..

Isn't that the bassani TDs? And not to Jack the thread but would two bullet mufflers fit right where the 2 in/out muffler is in that picture?

intersting, I haven't seen a dual run 1 over and 1 under the panhard before, the ones i've seen either run 2 bullet/cherry bomb type mufflers under the passanger side or where the factory muffler went and run both pipes over the panhard.

in my humble opinion, dual 2.5" is better for a bolt on car than 3".
    1) fitment, 3" coming off the drivers header and across is a pain in the ass for clearance and dual 3' over the rear axle is (as far as I know) impractical.
    2) going up to 3" duals is not going to increase power over dual 2.5" on a car with bolt ons, once you go 500hp or something it may be a benifit, but it's overkill for a 350hp car.

also I believe X pipe is slightly better than H for flow and scavanging, they are just different angles of the same idea tho, same concept and result

That is the Bassani setup that I had mentioned earlier. If that's what you are wanting, then I'd just buy the kit and be done with it. Engineered to fit the first time, mandrel bends, and several have used it with good results.

If you go the custom route, and are lucky to even find a shop to take the time to bend something like that, it's going to cost you nearly the same price, and it will be crush bends too,,,ick.

Interesting...same here. I run 2.5 straight duals over the axle and as far as I know there aren't any room issues by going over.

And a suggestion to the OP...You might find better luck going with something like the mufflex 4" Y setup instead.

Personally I would rather not deal with the issues caused all the time it seems like by having my duals.

That's what I did. Frankly I couldn't see spending $900 for the true dual setup when I could have a 4" mufflex for $500 and I know from testing that the 4" single is worlds better over the 3" catbacks.

Whether or not the true dual would perform just as well or better than the 4" single catback remains to be seen. At the time the Bassani was just too pricey to buy for simple test purposes. But if I really had to have a true dual setup for what ever reason, Bassani has my vote.

You can definetely fit 3 inch over the axle with the relocation kit. I have it. Also 3 inch is not over kill what so ever, it helps out the top end pull for sure, by no means will you be hurting in that department so dont worry about it. 2.5 would be fine if you plan on stayin bolt ons forever 2.5 wont hurt either. I plan on stayin bolt ons for awhile though. I gotta get some time and find the other phone and ill load some pics up

Gets tough if you have a 12 bolt or a 9" though.

Old T/A had no problems without the relocation kit and 3" over the axle with the 10 bolt.
Had to take it down to 2.5" to clear the Moser 9"

    Good to know, thanks
I'll hold off on upgrading my old beat up flowmaster until after I actually get a 9" out back.

I will go for 3 inch pipes.
On the Pan hard bar I don't have it yet. But I will get that some time soon.
So I need a relocation kit for the pan hard bar?

If You could. Can you post pics or something about your setup? Or a pic of the mufflers you are running pls.
    Thanks alot man.

I hope I have room for both cutouts
Is your car lowered? If it is, you will also need a panhard relocation brace which mounts to the rear. JEGS is the only one to make one.

Even after showing them countless pics of dual setup cars they wouldnt believe they were driveable. Too many shops want to do short and easy jobs not put any real work in to it.

you don't have to get the panhard relocation to do 3in duals over the axles. I'm about to buy a custom setup a guy put together(3in over the axle) and he didn't have to use the relocation kit to get it to fit. And before ppl start saying it can't be done, yes it can, and it works just fine. This is the exact setup i'm buying

ICK!!! Run far far away from that and never look back.....

That is hillbilly backyard engineering at it's finest

You'll just love speed bumps and tall driveways and other road irregularities with that system, not to mention that rearend needs to droop, and now the exhaust is in the way for any real repairs that may need to be done in the future The only vehicle that style system is meant to work on is an IRS with a fixed rear center section that doesn't move. Just sayin'. Do as you wish.
