    Another Maf Question

    I have my stock sensor in right now, but I also have a SLP sensor. I was wonderin if the SLP really leans the car out wouldn't my scan tool pull a code? Or is it not enough to throw a code?
    98 SS. LS6 Intake, SLP Exhaust, PaceSetter Lt's, Smooth Bellow, SLP Cold Air, Aluminum Drive Shaft, Srut Tower Brace, Tubular Lower Control Arms.

    yea the SLP won't lean it out enough to throw a code, but i would just stay with the stock unit.

    From all my research, I found out that just removing the net/mesh from the stock MAF will be good for some power. You do not need to remove your stock MAF. The stocker is good enough for most mods.

    I was just tryin to justify puttin the SLP one back in. I did read that the reason people run lean on them is cause they have too many bolt ons and the aftermarket ones aren't calibrated for it that if your stock or close it'll be fine. I'd like to know this for sure. Wish I had an exhaust analyzer to check the A/F ratio.
