Im not sure how of high quality the kooks header bolts are but most people have no problem using the stock header bolts. As for the head gaskets most everyone recomemends that u use the factory GM metal gaskets. They seal very nice I have had no problems at all.

thanks for the input.I've got the headers ready to go just waiting for the rest of my exhaust to get here.I'm just trying to work out any problems i may encounter to make a smooth install.

My Kooks came with nothing. Just the longtubes.

I used new GM multi-layer steel gaskets, and the stock header bolts. Just some loctite.
    No problems what-so-ever.

[QUOTE=Mr. Luos;1654006]My Kooks came with nothing.

mine came with 2 flat aluminum gaskets and according to the install instructions supposed to be used with "a copper RTV sealant"WTF?The bolts that came with thyem look really cheap also, thats why I was asking if anyone was actually using them.

I don't know if I like the idea of RTV'ing that area. Too much heat.

    That is what I used.
    No problems after 3 years.

GM part number 12617944. You need 2....they come in a package of one.
Thunder has them at $12.50 each before shipping.
