    Alternator Wiring

Hi, I need to know which prong of the four wire connector the single wire from the harness attaches to. I started having alternator issues today, so I pulled the alternator out. It turns out that there is a single wire going into a four wire plug on top of the alternator. The issue is that it is a bare wire with some electrical tape on it. It appears that there was once a four position connector that plugged into the alternator, but the wire was pulled out at some time in the past and then just pushed onto one of the four prongs and taped over. I am the original owner of this car, so it must have happened at one of the shops it's been to.

Can someone identify which of the four prongs I should attach the wire to?

    My car is a 2001 WS6

    Thanks,

    Tom

That works! I wasn't sure of the P/N, but know that Caspers is a good source for specialty electrical stuff.
