Youre not gonna find one air lid that proves better than the other. There really isnt much of a difference. Go with one that you think looks great with your set up.

I had both a SLP and a Granatelli lid...the slp lid has a very tight fit but it comes with the hose, grommet and elbow needed for the A.I.R. on your 2000.

The granatelli just came with a k&n breather for the A.I.R. hose so the install didn't look as clean and it had a looser fit...too loose actually. I'd crank the worm clamp around the lid and maf until it wouldn't crank anymore...damn thing still had some gaps between the maf and lid.

Like everyone else said...they all give the same gains.

actually, take a look at this.. they don't all perform the same

then follow the link that says:

Click HERE to read the LS1 Airlid comparison test done by GM High-Tech Performance Magazine showing the dominant performance of the MTI Power Induction Airbox

MTI had the best ET/MPH out of all the other brands.

I have the MTI, but a lid is a lid. Dyno pulls and track times will vary more from one to the next than the difference different lids will make.

I was going to refer him to that same article. Despite what most guys think, lids do vary in both power and performance from one to another. GMHTP got as much as 5rwhp/4rwtq and .2 tenths/2mph from one lid compared to the other. That's why I prefer dyno tests over someones word.

That's ridiculous. A lid is a lid. Test the MTI lid over and over and there would be variances on the dyno and 1/4 mile. Get whichever one you like the best. Personally I went with the SLP lid and couldn't be happier.

the problem is that no 2 dyno pulls are the same.
one pull you can have 379 rwhp and the next one you can have 5 more or less h.p.

well they tested like 8 or 9 diff lids and they all had diff performance results, and MTI was the highest.. so i guess if you want to take somebody's word over proven facts it's really up to you.

did the mti lid perform the best that day, yes.
odds of it doing the same thing the next day, slim.
were not talking about a major mod that makes alot of power, were talking about 3-4 h.p max.

right, but on the other hand they factored in the weather conditions and sea level, and adjusted their gains appropriately. so idk how much of a diff it would make on a different day. and i now it's not a WHOLE lot but he was just asking if any of them did perform better, and according to GM High Tech Performance Magazine, the MTI lid did.

From what i have heard the SLP fits the tightest. Thats what youll definately what in order to insure all incoming air is filtered before it enters the motor.
