I bought a 2002 ws6 and need to pass smog to to finish the transfer of the out of state title into California. The car needs an air induction system, it currently has block off plates on the stock manifolds. I also have a 1998 trans am that has the air induction system intact. I'm wondering if I can swap the system between the two different models being the manifolds look different. I'm also wondering if the air induction is only a visual test or it effects the sniffer portion of the smog. If possible I would simply swap the piping because I'm going to sell my 98 and it will also need to smog. Also from what I know the 02 comes with no egr and the 98 does, but I'm only looking at the air induction portion. Any more info would be great! I can also post pics if more clarification is needed.
