Its a functional ram air box for SUNCOAST hoods. They route the airflow differently than OEM ram air hoods, therefore requiring a different style airbox.

The box definitely made a difference with my raptor hood. I had to use my stock airbox when I first installed the hood because the radiator support for the new box was damaged in shipping.

TA's do have "ram air" although its not exactly a true system, inorder to get a 100 percent functional ram air system is to completely seal the entry from the hood into the air box.

cool.thats what i wanted to hear.no one has anything bad to say about this type of air box seems like.im buying a ws6 with this setup on it.so i wanted to get somefeedback on it.im wondering how much "ram air" vs "engine bay" air that will be pulled into the throttlebody.im thinking it will be more engine bay air at idle till the vehicle gets enough speed to "ram" fresh air into the nostrils then it should be about 50/50.
