Adding SLP Loud Mouth I to the CME set-up???
Ok I have heard two completely different stories on adding the SLP Loud Mouth I cat-back system to an exsisting CME set-up for an 02SS...
First according to SLP: I could add the LMI system but instead of using the tips that come with it, I would have to splice in the CME tips... Didnt sound like to much work...
Second, I called a rep from Maryland Speed Way and he said that adding the LMI system to a CME set-up could not be done and that I would be better off going with something else...
Ive got my mind pretty much set on the LMI. (just want something LOUD)
Would Adding LMI even make a diff in sound????
What do you guys recommend?

what if I deleted the Stock muffler and went to an exhaust shop and got straight pipes in its place?

Do you have LT headers?
Whatif you just bought TSP true duals or had a custom exhaust fabbed up? LM is really loud after headers, and insanely loud after cam. With some serious rasp. Some really like it though.

No LT'S... Just a stock system... Only have enough cash to do a cat back set-up... Just wondering how easy or hard it would be to splice in a LMI system into a stock CME set-up...
I would like to do this in my garage if possible... There isn't any good shops around here.

Yes, you can adapt the LM I to your CME. It is easier converting a LM I to the CME than it is converting a transverse muff to the CME. You should be able to do both in your garage.

Thanks! So is there going to be much fabrication?
What special tools should I have ready?
Exactly what goes into adding an LM1 to CME?
Will adding the LM1 really make a noticable difference (sound) over the stock CME?
