    8 throttle body intake question

Has anyone seen these intakes with the individual throttle bodies for each port (Harrop makes one)? How do they work without the MAF? Is it tuned out?

it would most likely be speed density.

It is interesting and different. I would be curious to see how it does in real life.

    ITB's.
Individual throttle bodies.. can be a tuning nightmare, but definately a "bling" type mod.
i've seen one other LS based ITB setup from Accurate Injection Enjoy:

    Hmmmmmmm, very interesting indeed.
ITB systems are either "group fired" or 'sequentially fired (SFI)"...

I dunno if I'd call it a bling mod, there is an air box that usually incloses it all. If you've ever seen the intake inside a F1 car or Champ car, thats what they look like, but add 2 more injectors for the 'overtake' button. Some use one big TB like an LS setup, others have the ITB like the pic below. Looks like they both have 8 TB's. They had injector stacks back in the 50's even. Now that I think about it, the Turbos have a big air box inclosing them that is pressurized to eliminate lag.

The carbon fibre manifold shown above is the one used by the V8 supercars in Australia. You wont see that on any street car at $15000. They do a street version which is filtered for around $5000.
