3800 exhaust

I figure this isn't the correct section to ask (figure it'll get moved) but I'm looking to get a new exhaust on my grand Prix gt anyone know what sounds good on a 3800?

Ive never heard one that does, the 3800 just has a drone and its raspy. I THINK the magnaflow exhaust is considered the best one, but dont take my word for it.

And I'm not just some V6 basher, Ive owned (3) 3800s

I've owned 2 and I agree...the magnaflow is the only system that even remotely sounds ok. Low RPM's is fine, but once you break 2500rpm it changes the tone of the exhaust completely. Friend of mine put a flowmaster setup on his 3800 and it sounded pretty bad......

The only way to make an aftermarket 3800 exhaust sound good is to have it connected to a turbo

Other than that the stock exhaust is best and is good to 300-ish whp.

No worries if you are a v-6 basher lol its really what my gf drives i was just looking for a nice sounding muffler or cats back. I had to do the exhaust anyway might as well make it sound better i thought, because imho the stock sounds like shit but that sounds like the problem with anything attached to the 3800 lol thanks anyway guys I'll save my cash for the trans am.
