2 parts purchased, good deal? Estimated rwhp?

Just purchased an ls6 intake and ported throttle body for 330 shipped....

    Good deal?

What gains should I see on an otherwise stock ws6 except for catback. (estimated rwhp?) after a lid/volant?

edit: around 315-320rwhp with the ls6/ported throttlebody?

that is a good deal and i think the gains should be around the 10 to 15 hp mark or so over what you have now i think.

The LS6 will add about 10 -15 hp and the throttle about 5 - 7 hp. Overall gains should be around 15 hp.

You may not feel the power difference, but may see it in a time slip.

its hard to get your hands in there unless you have small hands, also have to be carefull with the sensor behind the intake which breaks very easily

You will get gains but only from 3000rpm and up it's a nice price though. Your going to brake that opsu though, most everyone does.

its a sensor in the back.. the oil sending unit...

if you have never taken your intake off.. i would go ahead and buy one..

chances are you will break it.. when/if you do you have one to put back on... if you dont break it, you can either put the new one on.. or take it back and get your money back..

its like 30 bucks or so..

Excellent recommendation -- well worth having this BEFORE you attempt the installation.

yea i know.. nobody warned me of this.. i went to do the swap, which should only take about 45 minutes..... and it ended up taking 2 days...

i broke the unit of course.. and had to go to the parts store... well, nobody had one and they had to order one... so i had to wait 2 days...

it pissed me off to say the least..

you can be really really careful..

reason is... its a plastic housing.. it gets really brittle because it gets so hot..
when you go to take it off, or the intake off.. it can crack and break just from other lines getting caught on it... MAKE SURE EVERYTHING is out of the way of it.. a lot of time the brake booster lines get tangled up with it..
it isnt actually on the intake..
in the background next to his finger..

    circled for you

    hope that helps!
