    02 AIR Removal

I'm going to remove the AIR system on my 02 SS, I've already had the CPU SES warnings removed. Has anybody done this on an 01-02? It's very hard to see the hose routing around the back of the engine but it looks like there is some type of vacuum switch back there. Any advice?

i just did the same thing (minus the ses removal...it's friggin annoying me now lol). anyway, you gotta remove the whole unit/hoses from underneath the front drivers side compt of the car. then for the housing where the 3 hoses are running to on the drivers side by the firewall you gotta pull up really really hard. theres a clip that holds it down and it's impossible to try and pry off. if you pull up hard enough/wiggle the unit it will eventuall pop off. then there is a tiny vaccum line there that needs to be plugged. i just stuck it onto on the the screw heads on the closest coil pack bolt. it runs beautifully now.
