$900 Question

Heres the question, do i get the QTP,s and a Y, or do I get pacesetters (coated) Y, and Z06 intake? Ya I could get the QTP's now, and then do the Z06 later, but I have a hard time saving! I only drive when its nice out, and try not to get stuck in the rain. Any input/ sugg. will be greatly appreciated!

I just got my tax return, already set aside $800 for ls7/ls2 clutch kit, slave cyl, and labor (mine is slipping). Left with with a little over $900. My mechanic is already going to have to take off the exhaust Y, perfect time to upgrade it, right! Need to get rid of the shorties.

Pacesetters and Z06 thats what i am doing!

if it were me i would go with the pacesetters and the ls6 intake

I would say it depends on how long you plan on having the car. If you are gonna keep the car for many years to come-go with QTP's. If you are gonna sell it in the next couple years go with Pacesetters. As you know QTP is stainless and will last for the duration where as the PS may last a few years before the finish starts to pitt etc. Headers are something you dont want to have to do twice. You get what you pay for. However-alot of people are going with stainless headers/Y pipe on ebay for under $500 and having good results. I will try to find the link for you. I asked a ton of questions on here about headers because I am close to buying a set and my response to you is a culmination of the answers I got from members here. Hope that helps.

I've heard too many mixed stories about the ebay header's reguarding quality, fitment, and specs. I was going to wait untill the new LPP headers come out, but I need to get my clutch fixed before his 30-60 day time frame on the new stock date. I very well could have the car 5 years from now and maybe longer (this is why I'm leaning towars S.S. Lethal, if you could find me that link, that would be great! Thanks again for the input, keep it coming!

Ok -I found the official website for the ebay headers and I found the thread where PNTBLL309 talks about buying the headers and y pipe for $450 shipped and he also talks about the install and has pics as well. Here is the header site http://www.ssautochrome.com/level.itml/icOid/1698

Apparently the ebay headers had some issues before but the issues have been resolved and from what wesman and pntbll309 say they are a great set of headers/y pipe that fit well. Hope that helps.
