Jetstream Blue Metallic- 2008 Z06 Corvette
ZR1 Spoilers or Borla?
Well, I am eventually going to do both of these mods to my Z06, but I couldn't make up my mind. They run around the same amount of cash give or take.
$1,100.00 for the Splitter and Spoiler ala ZR1
$1,326.00 for the x-pipe and cat back Borla minus a $180.00 gift certificate so that makes them both within a few bucks. Hmmm which to do first?
Should I go with the cosmetic, and a little function at one million miles per hour? Or go with the compliment to my already existing cold air filter for the HP and that trademark Borla sound? Not to mention the look of those pipes of the Borla.
Gentlemen, I ask you your opinions please.....

you'd be exploring the meaning of delirium if you didnt get the exhaust first.

yeah i'd go with the Borla as well, Z06 has a nice spoiler already. Then you can add a video clip with the exhaust on so we can see how great she sounds

Now that I've ordered the Borla, I'm thinking of selling the original exhaust system. I know that it's a $1,100.00+ option on the regular model Vette, but I don't know if my Z06 muffler system is a simple bolt on.
I have less than 5k miles on this original system, and have ordered the entire replacement system from Borla including the x-pipe, so I would include the larger [runner] pipes that come with the Z06 along with the muffler.
What do you guys think is a fair price for the stock system? It has a pretty good deep tone with all 4 baffles open, which is the way I had it all the time, similar to a "Wild to Mild" but always in the wild position.
I was thinking $250.00 and the buyer pays for shipping, seeing as it's practically brand new.
What do you guys think???
I know that it's good for at least 6 ponies because that's what the General advertises, and the Borla is only good for 10-12hp and that runs about $1850.00!
Seems like a good deal to me.

Good point...but when you take into consideration the shipping cost of a 71lb. item, and if you're going to invest big $$$ in an exhaust system, you'll probably go with a aftermarket.
