Z06 hunting
Looking for a Z and came across a 01 with 72,000 for 18,000. Do you think that a good price for it. Also are the Z's that much better than a reg. C-5.

Test drive them and you'll know, the dealer is more than willing to throw you the keys if he thinks you're going to buy. It's a good price if nothings fudged.

think 2001/zo6 had some engine problems, lots were redone at gm dealers /rings, etc.. 2002> 2004/zo6 were much better, and more power !!

I am going to take look one on tomorrow: A 03 with 84,000 miles on it for $18,900 in Millennium Yellow? What you guys think about the price on this one. I did go out today and took a reg C5 for a test drive. It was a 6spd car. It was a 02 with 61,000 miles for $16,500.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
you want to get a 02+ as there were quite a few refinements. the issue the 01s had is a oil burning issue that gm fixed by re-ringing them. most c5s will eventually have a abs issue. those are just about it...but yeah get a 02+ trust me...that is unless you have big plans to mod the car and replace the ls6

Went and looked at the car. It's nice, but I am still going to do a little more looking. So I can get the best car for my money.

If you plan to do head/cam than why not an 01? The 02-04 gets a bigger lift cam and revised piston rings. Not all of them had the issues, much like the burning issue of the LS2 engines.....lol
Oh, if you could get an 01 in white you should get it. That is the only year white is offered on the C5 Z06.
Having friends with both cars. An 01 6-speed coupe and my other friend has an 02 Z06. The Z06 feels quicker in the steering department and meaner however the 01 does ride a little better. And of course the Z06 is quite a bit faster......lol
Cant go wrong with either really.....lol The 01 in white is fantastic looking though!
