    Tire pressure monitor disabling

    Hello people. A friend of mine has a '97 Vette with aftermarket wheels. The pressure sensors don't fit in the aftermarket wheels, so his alert message comes on all the time. He has to reset it everytime he starts the car. Is there a way to disable the monitor, or prevent the message?

    It's not part of the PCM. The monitor is part of the RKE receiver (aka keyless entry), and sends info to the Instrument Panel Cluster, which displays the message.
