Thoughts on the possibility of the turbo or twin turbo v6?

There has been talk about a turbo or twin turbo 6 and even 8 in the vette over the years. My question is does it really make sense? A turbo 6 cylinder would not really get any better gas mileage than a DI 5.5 liter v8 N/A engine IMO. I could easily see a 450hp base engine with the 5.5 liter with the new DI and head setup that still gets almost 30mpg freeway. It takes fuel to keep up with the added air flow from turbos.

True, i was just curious what everyone thought about it performance wise. And how easy would it be to market? I mean most people that want a vette want the V8 so i dont know how easy it would be to sell a v6. Also with that kind of performance would it really make sence to put a turbo v6 in a car thats not really going to lower the price?

That Is the vette from transformers. I'm really having my doubts that's what its going to look like. If you look at the rear shot in the spy photos the tail lights are totally different.

They better not do the stupid tail lights like the Camaro, that makes them look like shit. Oval or round.
