    Time will tell.

I already have a house payment, so I don't know that I can afford a high car payment

And yes, my car is waaaayyyyy slower. But I was driving it.

    Nice time though...
If the car is a mid 10 sec car, its a mid 10 sec car,the question is ,how fast is the car,not who's the better driver..Why wouldn't it count? It did what it did.Give credit where it is due.Awesome car Dude!!!!

Nice time I have yet to see a C6Z with a auto conversion. They are 11 second cars stock so 10's with h/c/i and a good auto should be easy to understand. My frined has a cammed, C6Z with bolt ons and tunned and hit like a 10.9X just enought to get him in the 10's. Only hit it once though usually low 11's.

Yeah i am looking at getting some drag wheels for the strip, a light weight battery, and loosing the cargo and floor mats. I am at 3375lbs with me in it and a full tank of gas i would idealy like to get down to 3275-3300lbs.

I was thinking these if i can find matching rears. I dont think they have the rears that will clear the z06 brakes.

with z06s ..i would think with welds ...you would be able to cut at least 10lbs per wheel ...and rotational mass reduction is HUGE! ..id go for it....id ask around corvette forum and ask what they are running...i would think with wheels and tires if your diff doesnt end up on the track ...you will be right up there in that list

There is a guy at my altitude (a mile high) still rowing the gears with head and cam doing 10.8's.

    Great time regardless!

Yea, with 600whp low 9s should be doable for a lightened setup z06. There are a couple guys running 9.7-10.0 with head/cam ls1 f-bodys making only 470ishwhp. Sure they only weight 2800lbs and have 4k+rpm stalls and slicks but the bottom end is stock and no power adders.

But like he said great time, 10.55 is damn fast.

Yeah i saw him he is scuba_steve. He has the Lingenfelter 660 package with 3.90 gears. Its just to bad he is at a higher elevation. The times are just based off of corvetteforum. Im sure there are alot more out there faster than me.

some of the guys like[ ranger ] who i think still holds the corvette drag records ! he runs low 11 stock ,and high 10 with drag tires .. of course stock means all pure stock.. for drag tires uses 17" bfg drag tires[315-35-17, on older zr1,11" wheels . his is a 2006 /zo6 -think that year is light model !!

Looked into the weld wheels looks like i wont be buying them anytime soon. About $2100 shipped not including tires. They would sure knock down some rotational mass.
