I would think an LS1 Vette gets a little better than an LS1 fbody, Vette weighs less.

Weight is only gonna be a factor on acceleration. Once its moving the weight doesnt matter. If it were a stop and go downtown mileage test the vette would beat the F body. But when it comes to running down the road 2000 lbs. or 6000 lbs, makes almost no diff.
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust, if it wasn't for fords our tools would rust

futurews6- all stick c/6 corvettes have 3.45 rear.!!..auto's. have performance rear /optional think 3.15, but standard 2.78...actually those high rears auto. do very good at drags and top mpg .. my guess is have high stall speed ,and its a 6 speed auto..rkvette

Yeah, there are all kinds of factors that go into the mileage, I was just responding to the comment that the vette gets better mpg due to weight. Mythbusters proved that one with the golf ball car.
