    Kinda of a new guy

Ok I've been a member of camaroz28.com for several years now and now that I am out of college I was thinking of buying a corvette Z06, I have not heard anything bad about the car, but I was wondering what your experience with it was and where I can find the head light convertion for it so it has the C5R head lights and not the flip up ones. Someone had told me that the skip shift chip is a good idea to.

But by next july there will either be a Z06 or a Lotus exige or maybe a house but that nither here nor there just trying to do all the research I can

I'll help you out. I believe Doug Rippie has a headlight conversion that looks sweet, and you definately want the skip shift. An 01-02 Z06 is a great bargain to get into, or you can look for a 99-00 Fixed Roof Coupe which was the precursor to the Z06. All depends on if you want to mod it. I've seen decent mileage FRCs go for under 20 grand. Good luck and welcome!

You will definitely be happier with the vette. The lotus is not as comfortable of car as the vette. The seats and suspension are far superior to the lotus. I have seen quite a few manufactures with the headlight conversion.Breathless Performance has it.

Plus i hear the Z06 guys like to beat up on the lotus guys at the track, but then again thats what you get when you have 4 more cyc than they do.
