K&N Cold air intake for the new Z06

    Hey guys-
I've always put K&N cold air intakes on my cars that I plan on keeping for a while, and I've had fairly decent results. I know that most manufacters claims are hype, and I'm finding the one for our cars (C6 models) to be hard to swallow, at 27.22HP gain!
I was wondering if any of you guys have installed cold air intakes [K&N or otherwise] on your C6 Vettes, and what, if any "seat of the pants" dyno increases you may have noticed.
I went ahead and ordered one for my wife's new Silverado 1500 too, and the claim for that one is 17.50HP.
I will post an update after I install them both, and give my opinion.
    Thanks for any input.

I'm all for a cold air intake but don"t care for the K&N filter.

Check out the VARARAM intake systems, I think gmhightech used it on a project in the magazine with good results.

After a few hundred miles now, I can say that throttle response has improved. It's not much louder on the intake side, and not a discernable HP increase. Maybe 10HP at best. You tell me if you can feel 10HP.
However, MPG has increased by 4 on the highway. Not too shabby.
