I wonder how insurance works in cases like that. I mean he was on a race track and I thought i read that insurance does not cover damages when on a race track just like warranties. But this was definately not his fault.

Did some research, summit point raceway in WV. I guess this isn't the first time someone has hit a deer on that track.

It was a c5 z06, got pretty jacked up, I would say 5k in damage from what I saw... wheels still sit straight.

The driver handled that pretty well I think.

He should've had his face shield down though, not sure if it was just the glass shards in his face that he was covering his face from, or if it was in his eyes. He did a good job to not lose control, though.

It might have been a reaction from a 180lbs animal hitting his windshield. He might have just put his arm up as a natural block reaction.

Not covered. That would have been a comprehensive claim and a 100 dollar deducable but in this case he is on his own. Expensive hit.
