Water is funny that way. You never know what's gonna happen. My Cadillac is somewhere under the water at this dealership:

What you see there are the tops of the garage doors. Needless to say, it needed some "work".

Did they replace your car or fix it?

It wasn't mine at the time - I bought it as a flood total in 2005. I fixed it and drove it without any trouble until 2009. Was a great car until I hit the Chief of Police (in an unmarked Explorer) with it:

I can understand the guy trying to get his Vette out especially if he thought more rain was coming but I would have just opened up a "new" door on the other, DRY side of the building before I drove my Vette (any model) into a lake. But that's just me ... Probably good thing no one suggested it, he would have just FLOORED it and drove through the other wall!!

Why not wait till it dried up. The car was safe.

"Cuz itz Saterday and I wants to drives me Curvette!"

I'm hoping a HUGE storm was about to hit the next day and his garage was gonna be 10-12" under water so he had no choice but to go muddin in his Vette.

I wonder what the 1/4 mile run of that tractor is with a corvette tied to it.

Thanks for the link, interesting project to check out.

Seems like a ton of work, I imagine you picked it up VERY cheap for it to be worth all that work.
