    Ok guys i was out for bit of time of this website, well any ways i think ima going to come back cause im bout to buy a corvette, but first i want it to ask ya about the transmision, is a better to get a 6 speed or an automatic.

    I would get a Z-51 with a 6 speed...

    You get a close ratio tranny (like in the C5 Z06s) and you get better suspension and brakes.

    And it aint a Vette unless you get the manual...

    Not to mention the package is cheap for what you get with it.

    Get the automatic! With the paddles you can take off very similar to a manual without having to constantly push in a clutch. Engaging the 08 clutch is somewhat tricky too. Hard to make a smooth take off. I've drive a couple before buying my latest and they both had clutch chatter accelerating at low rpm.

    If you plan to ET race then an automatic is the only way to go for consistency. And with a loose converter the manuals will be looking at your tail lights all the way down the track.

    funny the C6 LS3 i drove didn't have a bit of clutch issues.

    if you drag race a lot an automatic makes life a lot easier. but not as much fun.
