    What are they refering to when they call some iol burners ??

    They may be referring to an oil consumption issue from the late 90's

    A small percentage of the early 2001's, and some 2000's had ring problems, which was causing oil consumption problems. There is a TSB out on it, and if anyone was having problems, it was fixed under warranty. But again, it was a pretty small percentage that were having the problem.

    ls1's are known to eat oil. something around a teaspoon every 5-9 WOT. there are oil breathers and catch cans for them. that is what they are refering too.
