C5 DRL blackout install...
So I got my drl blackouts from gs creations... They're my second set, but these are made differently. The first pair i had just went in from the outside. They had little notches in them and just snapped in... I forget where I got them from tho. These however, require lifting up the car, undoing the housing from underneath the car, taking out the lenses and slipping the blackouts in. Has anyone else had to do this? my car's lowered and i cant even get it up on ramps to get underneath. Is there an easier way? I tried sliding them in from the front but they dont fit right...

I had to get mine up on ramps to put them on. You just have to unbolt the back bolt on the light housing and pull back on the light to get them on. It helps to have an extra set of hands to help, but they are worth it when they are finally on. Good luck with them.

how did you get yours up on ramps? mine's lowered. Is there a way to jack the car up? I tried putting some wood down but it kept sliding when the wheel went on it

The ramps are simple to build. Get 2 2x12x12, cut off one end at a 45 degree angle. Get 2 more and cut them at a 45 at 8', cut the next 2 with a 45 at 6' then 4' then 2'. Screw them together with 3" screws and you instantly have ramps that are safer than raceramps, will get your whole car up off the ground. I forgot to tell you that on the flat end on top of the 2' boards, be sure to cut a 2x4 to screw in at the very end to keep your car from going off the end. Also get wheel chocks to use on any ramp. With the bottom board being 12' long you get your back tires off the ground so you can get a jack under the rear crossmember. Will try and post some pics of them sometime this week.
