Thumbs up Best overall bolt-on combination?

What would be the best bolt-on combination? I don't want to touch the short block, nor the Heads, yet. I realize a supercharger would give me the most bang for my buck, however, I want to create a solid assortment of bolt on items first, before adding the charger.

I was thinking about doing the following:

    1) Full exhaust front to back - long tube, High Flow, Cats, etc..,
    2) Fast 78mm intake manifold,
    3) 1:85 rockers,
    4) cold air system,
    5) Granatelli MAF,
    6) Ported and polished throttlebody, and
    7) Custom tuning of the computer

I noticed that SLP has a complete package that has most of what I'm looking for, except the MAF and the intake system. It's called the "ZL 7" performance pac. Has anyone installed this system?

Of the items that I mentioned above, what brands would be the most reliable and cost effective?

    Thanks for the input........

if you did ever get a blower all of thoes are a waist of money, i have a stock 99frc with a procharger and im doing over 500whp still on the stock clutch.i would do JBA headers and exhaust and then get a blower. if you can use tools you can do it in your drive way and save all the install money

    1) Full exhaust front to back - long tube, High Flow, Cats, etc..,
Kooks or LGs are the most popular LTs, Borla for catback
    2) Fast 78mm intake manifold
My understanding is that the fast is good for more air, but you need head/cam or F/I to fully benefit from it
    3) 1:85 rockers
I have heard its a waste, but no personal experience
    4) cold air system
Halltech Stinger or Blackwing is nice, currently running a Vararam and notice the most gains
    5) Granatelli MAF
Again, heard its not worth it but no personal experience
    6) Ported and polished throttlebody
Just did one and car feels a lot stronger but it is because it revs faster now, great for throttle response
    7) Custom tuning of the computer
If doing L/T headers and exhaust this can get you more HP. On its own you can increase your current power but for the price its better to wait until you have a mod that can fully benefit from it

    +1 i agree , and i would also add:
    - underdrive pulley, cost $125, it will give 8-12rwhp and it will give 2-3mi/gal saving in gas...
-another great bolt on is stall converter for A4, 3200-3500 stall is very nice, it will give lots of low end torque and shave off 0.4 in 1/4 easily.
-3.73 for A4 or 4.10 for M6 gears swap.. u will accelerate much faster.
-subframe connectors, will fix body flex and give a stable ride.

Agreed. A definate weather you get more HP or stay stock. I have seen what it can do(on T-tops) with the rippling in the rear quaterpanels if you don't.

it depends on your budget and goals for the car.....

id start with a CAI.... i got my halltech stinger for $189 and its great but vararam seems to make more HP.... for around $350. 10-15rwhp

headers/x-pipe.... LG pro's seem tp make the MOST HP..... but at $1,600
there a little pricy.... im looking at the LG street set for $895.... its a great deal! pro's 30-40rwhp streets 20-30rwhp

    UD pulley .... not a bad idea, $200-225.... 5-10rwhp

tune.... after those mods you should pick up another 10-20rwhp... $300-500.

that would put a LS1 car to about 350-370rwhp
and an LS6 car to around 375-395rwhp

    good luck.
