All Corvette Sales and RRP vs US GDP and Inflation
Looking through wiki and noticed for all generations of Corvette, per year there are production numbers and the base model RRP (except for the C6 which I got from 2005 Chevrolet Corvette Base Coupe Ratings, Prices, Trims, Summary | J.D. Power).
I put all this into a chart as below and compared to the US GDP and Inflation numbers for the corresponding years. What you can see is that the RRP for a Corvette since the late 80's has just been shy of the GDP, where in the earlier generations it was far below and for the C1 through to mid C3 (late 70's) production was under a 1/4 of the GDP.
