ABS/TCS light

My brother is buying a 2001 Vette with 6sp. The car has 110K miles and the ABS/TCS light is lit up. Any ideas of what to check first to track this down and repair it? I was assuming a wheel speed sensor but want to get advice from owners first before I send us down the wrong path. Any way to check the sensors if that is the most likely culprit? Thanks in advance for your guidance.

check the rear wires. pinched, cracked/broke, disconnected etc.I pinched mine jacking it up, threw the light on.

If you know a place with an abs reader they can tell you what the problem is.

I will mention that to him. He lives in WV so not sure about all the shops abilities there. Should be someone other than the dealership that can do that. Thanks for the idea.

actually im having the same trouble now on my 98 z28. was told i needed a left front wheel speed sensor,so i changed it and 14 new abs scanner codes came up after.it's now looking like i need to replace the ABS module.NOT trying to scare you,it very well could just be a wss,but just sharing my experience with you.just have it scanned to find out.
