This is a discussion on 2000 c5 within the Corvette forums, part of the Vehicle Specific category; I bough a loudmouth cat-back and wondering if I buy the slp h-pipe will the h-pipe delete the resonators?...

I know but If I buy an aftermarket slp one, will the resonators be deleted due to the new h-pipe

but I see 2 little cats right off the headers and then 2 huge-like resonators. So your telling me those are cats too? and The SLP h-pipe will delete those.

Yes, Four Cats
The two small cats, just off the headers, are the pre-cats. Their function is to help the two main cats, on the H-pipe, heat up faster.
I think the pre-cats started in 2000. The early C5 Corvettes only had the two main cats.
I'm only describing what's on the factory exhaust system. You can get specific SLP info. from them.
